Orangutan Friendly is a philanthropic organization but as you can see its internet domain is a “dot com” (and a “.co.nz”), not, as most non profits are, a “dot org”. Why? Because Orangutan Friendly is NOT a NON PROFIT organization. We want to make a profit! In fact we want to make as much profit as we can. Not only do we want to use these profits to support Orangutan Habitat Conservation, we want to demonstrate that it is commercially viable to run a business producing quality products without raping the environment for ingredients; without deforestation and without the gratuitous destruction of native habitats...MORE

Subsequent public outrage came as a major wake up call for Cadbury’s as was the loss of a significant number of their customers to other brands. The consumer had spoken. Cadbury’s bit the bullet and withdrew the palm oil...MORE |
